Geelong Wildcats taste success at Country Championships

The Geelong Wildcats enjoyed a successful Country Champions campaign this year the all 3 Netball sides and the Mens D Grade Cricket Side becoming premiers. The cricket was held in Ballarat over the long weekend and we were represented by 3 teams from Geelong - Wildcats Mens B, Wildcats Mens D and our Mixed Cricket Wildcats.

The netball championships were held right here at Geelong Indoor Sports on the Sunday, where the Wildcats cleaned up all three Divisions in what was a competitive, but fun and enjoyable day which was had by all.

Representative sport not only tests your ability against Victoria's best, but is also fun and enjoyable on and off the court - which is just as important. We have multiple grades in all divisions which caters for all skill levels - A and B grade which get picked by the centre through to our lower divisions which are competitive, but more social competition and suitable for everyone.

The Geelong Wildcats Mixed Indoor Cricket Team may have lost all of their 5 games, but definitely won a few hearts along the way.

They played some close competitive games against Box Hill Broncos, Northcote Knights and Ballarat 2, but unfortunately got a thumping from Ballarat 1 and Traralgon who were a little out of their league.

The team consisted of Bree, Sharon, Lisa, Bindi, Shona, Gav, Rob, Adrian and Jason. Many thanks to all the cheer squad, organizers and Geelong Indoor Sports for all of their support.
